Ready to enter the Paths of the Dead?

when playing someone thats been dead a thousand or more years it's important to go heavy on the weathering...so I hung the tunic and cloak outside for three months

for the scale armor I cut each scale, backed it with linen, tied it to each other in strips which were then tied to a suede base-this was also set outside to weather during dry days

chest/back armor piece also spent time outside-notice the strapping and belt are all fastened with screws as the "mail skirt" was attached to the upper armor, this allowed me to break down the costume for easy storage and shipping

the original costume had a helmet-truer to the movie look but even with a leather lining cap it gave me a headache so I switched to the cloak hood-always have a Plan B
